After a rain postponed series final Kurt Driemeyer came away with the championship. The race was run Saturday night 10/30/2009 at Belleville Enduro Club Belleville IL. Kurt came into the last race with the points lead but only 2 points separated him from the 2nd place rider on his modified and very potent 700 Raptor. They both ended up in the same Heat Race which Kurt dominated from the start because the Raptor was having handling difficulties. That gave Kurt his preferred starting line position in the Main. The rider in 2nd place tried to make some changes to get his handling problems corrected for the Main but was unsuccessful. Kurt dominated the 7 Quad field from the start and took the checkered well ahead of everybody. This was a 8 race series at both Belleville Enduro Club and Splinter Creek Off Road Club in Fosterburg IL. Early in the season when Kurt was getting his 02 ATK/Dale dialed in one of the riders on his newer YFZ made the comment to Kurt that his Dale was like a dinosaur. Well , they had to look at the ass of that dinosaur most of the season. Let's give Kurt a big Congratulations from the Cannondale Community, He really had to ride hard and smart to win this thing.
